Kick-off meeting of the EU-funded Twinning project: “Further improvement of the system for development and implementation of the National Qualifications Framework”

On Thursday, 11th of February, 2016, at 13:30hrs, an opening Kick-off meeting of the EU-funded Twinning project: “Further improvement of the system for development and implementation of the National Qualifications Framework” will take place at the EU InfoCentre.

At the event, the opening addresses will be delivered by:

Mr. Abdilaqim Ademi, Minister of Education and Science

H.E. Mr. Jacek Multanowski, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland

H.E. Mrs. Danijela Barišić, Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia

H.E. Mr. Charles Garrett, Ambassador of the United Kingdom

Presentation of the Twinning project’s main activities and components will be provided by Ms. Agnieszka Chłoń-Domińczak, MS Project Leader, The Educational Research Institute, Poland. Ms. Ana Tecilazić Goršić, Junior MS Project Leader, Head of Sector for Quality of Higher Education, International Cooperation and European Affairs, Ministry of Science, Education and Sports, Croatia will provide a presentation of activities in the area of legislation improvement, Ms. Aileen Ponton, Junior MS Project Leader, Chief Executive, Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework Partnership, Scotland, will provide a presentation on activities related to the strengthening of the institutional capacity, Mr. Horacy Dębowski will refer to the enhancing of the process of qualifications’ development.

Ms. Natasha Janevska, BC Project Leader, State Advisor, Ministry of Education and Science will refer to the expected outcomes and benefits for the beneficiary.

Conclusions will be made by Project Leaders: Agnieszka Chłoń-Domińczak and Natasa Janevska.

Тhe overall objective of the Twinning project is to strengthen the national capacities for an effective and efficient system for the National Qualifications Framework. The activities are aimed at improving country capacity in the implementation of the National Qualifications Framework, including legislation, administration and development of qualifications in the key economic sectors. As a result of the project, the visibility and the potential of the National Qualifications Framework as a tool for lifelong learning policy will be enhanced.

The project started with implementation January 2016 and it will end July 2017. The main beneficiary is the Ministry of Education and Science. The budget for implementation is 2.250.000 EUR. The project is financed by the European Union, IPA OPHRD Programme 2007-2013.
