Workshops “Human Rights of Persons and Reflections on Employment” and “Comparison of the Legislation of BiH and Macedonia with the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities”

On 15 and 16 February 2017, workshops were held at the Hotel Porta in Skopje on the topic “Human rights of persons and reflections on employment” and “Comparison of the Legislation of BiH and Macedonia with the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities“.

The aim of the workshops is to contribute to the introduction of people with disabilities to basic human rights, as well as the higher achievements for recognizing the right to work and employment of persons with disabilities as one of the basic human rights (Article 27 of the UN Convention) for to bring persons with disabilities into a more favorable position, that is, social inclusion.

The workshops are organized within the framework of the project “Pilot Action for Access to the Rights of the Work of Persons with Disabilities” implemented by the partner organizations Polio Plus – Disability Movement, Macedonia and LINК Association, Mostar Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The project is financed by the Delegation of the European Union in the Republic of Macedonia and the CFCD / Ministry of Finance through the IPA program for social inclusion at the local level, the European Union Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance SDI Operational Program for Human Resources Development 2007-2013.
