Piloting online courses for employability and self-employability within project „Facilitating integration of ethnic minorities at the labor market through enhancement of their employment potentials“

At the beginning of August, in the premises of the YES Foundation in Skopje, as part of the final activities of the project „Facilitating integration of ethnic minorities at the labor market through enhancement of their employment potentials“, funded by European Union, piloting of the online courses for employability and self-employability were held. These highly motivating trainings are leading young people to the path of their own success and have the power to encourage participants to realize their professional visions.

53 young people took part in the piloting of trainings. Three groups of participated in the piloting of “Start Your Own Business” online course and each participant had the opportunity to learn how to create their own business. One group of participated in the piloting of “Employability” online training and they learned how to target their ideal job position in the labour market and how to present themselves in the best possible way to the potential employers.

The instruments of the online platform have many different options, like networking of the participants, virtual classroom, different materials which can be downloaded, but the most importantly the online courses eliminate the territorial barrier and participants can enrol and learn whenever and wherever they want. During the evaluation, the participants evaluated the quality of the online content of the course as excellent, emphasizing that these trainings are very helpful on the path to the realization of their professional ideals.

The project „Facilitating integration of ethnic minorities at the labor market through enhancement of their employment potentials“ funded by European Union  is implemented by YES Foundation, ZIP Institute, „Future 21“ and Roma Women Organization from Macedonia „DAJA“. The project activities started in December, 2015 and will be finished in August, 2017.
